Plaisir de Merle, situated at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountain, is offering a selection of sweet and seasonal savoury treats paired with a selection of their award-winning wines which both complement and enhance the combination of flavours.
The fudge pairing is a decadent affair which pairs white chocolate fudge infused with orange, chili and lime, vanilla and rum and cherry fudge with a selection of wines.
The flavour sensation is seasonal and you can look forward to wines paired with the likes of dried figs and pears, fruit cake, blue berries, or biltong.
The tastings are offered in the tasting room, an old barn built in 1823, and offers breathtaking views of the mountain and vineyards.

Standard wine tasting (selection of four wines): R 60 per person
Red wine and fudge pairing: R 90 per person
Flavour sensation small bites paired with a selected of wines: R 90 per person
